What is Body Psychotherapy?

Body Psychotherapy is a profound and powerful healing process. It involves a deep state of councelling where you are held and feel safe so that you are able to access old feelings and confront old sabotage patterns often held below the level of awareness, and then move them through your physical/mental/emotional and energetic levels allowing for deep tranformative healing.

Who can benefit from Body Psychoterhapy:

You suffer from health problems You are anxious or depressed and suffering from stress. You feel stuck in your life and in your relationships. You are looking for a deep nurtured place of councelling where you feel safe and held. You hold emotional trauma from the past. You have an interest in personal growth and development.

What happens during a session:

During a Body Psychotherapy session, the therapist and client work together to reconnect the clients core essence and release any wounds and defences that may be blocking their authentic self. The session may combine various techniques such as talk therapy, body focusing, breathwork, mindfulness, grounding and hands on energy work to help the client fully feel and release old heavy emotions. This process allows the client to to get in touch with who they really are and integrate their emotional experiences with their cognitive undestanding. "When we embrace and embody our true essence, living our lives authentically and in harmony, we begin to experience the magic and beauty that life has to offer " Sanna Petersen - Naturopath and Body Psychotherapist
